- Open House Morning Fair opens Monday Sep 6, at ACM. The Fair will be open from 9:30 am to 12 noon (inclusive of the morning's lively lecture on the Food of the British Raj). Get to know fascinating Singapore more intimately in Explore Singapore! and Field Studies, learn more about Asian cultures in our Study Groups, sign up for a Study Tour to an exotic destination, join a lively Book Group, consider becoming a Museum Guide, enjoy the arts hands on, and more. If you have friends who are interested in the Friends, this is an ideal opportunity to bring them along to meet us. Keeping with our theme, refreshments will be served. .
- The National Art Gallery is organizing an Open House from 8-10 October to commemorate the Supreme Court and City Hall before the planned renovation works kick off. TNAG (The National Art Gallery, Singapore) would like to organize a number of public tours during this period and is looking for docents. An information and recruitment morning reserved for FOM docents will be held on 14 September 10 am to 12 Noon at SAM. The actual training session reserved for FOM docents will be on 17 September 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Those interested must RSVP to Sumi and Beatrice at sam.docentliaison@yahoo.com.sg before August 30.
